Tutor / Guidance Counsellor
Is it a free tool?
Yes. MyWayPass is a free-of-charge platform for users (education centres, teachers, young people, families, etc.).
Can an education centre use the platform?
Yes. The education centre can use the platform in different ways to support, encourage and improve the student guidance processes. In other words, a centre can "participate" in MyWayPass, through its use by counsellors and/or teachers. In the platform there is a TUTOR profile, which refers to the tutor, but there is no CENTRE profile.
How are students linked to the tutor profile?
The first thing is to create a TUTOR profile in MyWayPass. Once registered, your profile page will display a code assigned to you. You will have to give this code to your students because the linking must be done by them. Ask them to include your code in their profile under the "Link Tutors" section. The moment they insert your code, they will be linked to your user but have the power to undo this link at any time.
How can I see the activities carried out by my students?
The first thing to know is that it's one thing to be linked to your students and another to see their activities.
Can I choose which activities I want my students to do?
No, the MyWayPass tool is designed to give young people the opportunity to self-reflect, so they choose which itineraries to follow and which missions they complete and which they do not. As a tutor you can use it to guide and recommend missions, but there is no specific functionality in the platform designed for you to select which activities students should do.
Is it a complementary application to the POAP activities or does it replace them?
MyWayPass is a complementary tool to the Academic and Professional Orientation Plan (POAP). It can be done by students independently or it can be integrated into the centre's POAP. Ideally, activities will be included within the POAP so that the student guidance process is supervised by a tutor and accompanied by a group reflection on the activities.
What does this application give me as a counsellor/tutor?
The main contribution of this guidance tool is the computerization of activities in a dynamic and attractive format. In addition, as a counsellor/tutor you can integrate the activities into your POAP and Tutorial Action Plan (PAT). By registering, you have access to your students' responses so you can track their vocational guidance process and even give them feedback on their activities. In this line, in the Get Inspired section you will be able to share with your students any information or resources you think may help them.
In which courses can I use MyWayPass?
MyWayPass has been designed with the vocational guidance process for 14-18 year old students in mind. It can be used with students who are doing O-levels, A-levels, Basic Vocational Training and Intermediate Level Training Cycles. This does not mean that the tool cannot be used in lower courses (especially the activities of the Know Yourself and Dream areas) or in Higher Grade.
Do students have to do all activities in one academic year?
No. MyWayPass is designed as a tool to accompany the student throughout his or her training. In this way, although an older student (e.g. 2nd year A-levels) could do all the missions intensively in one academic year, we recommend distributing the missions over at least two academic years. Especially, given the experiential nature of some of the activities. However, this decision will depend on the planning of each tutor.
Can the activities be repeated in different courses?
Yes, missions can be overwritten. In other words, you can save several versions of the same activity in the same course or in subsequent courses.
Are all activities completed within MyWayPass?
No, MyWayPass is a tool that combines activities within the application with experiential activities. In this way, some activities require the student to work outside the tool (exploring websites, making a video, interviewing a student, etc.) but return to finish the mission.
What is the result of doing all the missions?
The result of doing all the missions, in addition to the intrinsic one for the student, is a document generated in the GalaxyPass application. This document covers the basic skills that the student has put into practice in MyWayPass.
Is it necessary to perform all missions to download the GalaxyPass?
No. Although some of the GalaxyPass skills are self-completed with the completion of the activities, it is not necessary to do all of them to download the GalaxyPass. The student can answer the skills questionnaire to complete the GalaxyPass independently from the activities or add kills that have not been self-completed.

Who can see the answers to my missions?

What is the validity of the pre-professional skills certificate generated by the GalaxyPass?
The GalaxyPass is an unofficial certificate. In other words, its function is purely informative. However, you can add it to your CV as it can help you present your skills. We recommend you to be honest when filling it out.
How can I link my tutor?
Your tutor has a code that he will need to give you so you can link them. On your profile page you have a space to insert that code and link to them.
Can I unlink a tutor?

If I do all the MyWayPass activities, will I get a closed answer about what I want to do in my future career?
